Transparency of Time and Space

When we practice meditation, we begin to realize what is known as the transparency and impermanence of time and space. We realize how much we are dwelling on our little things and that we cannot catch any of it and build a house on it. We cannot even lay the foundation. The whole thing keeps shifting under our feet and under our seat. The rug is being pulled out from under us completely, simply from the experience of working with ourselves. Nobody is pulling it, but we find that the rug constantly moves.

  1. A mindful society is one that has turned a corner on its own inner workings, and begun the process only of observing it without rejecting any of it, of observing it without closing its heart to itself.

A mindful society has begun to allow for the dissolution of its own ideals, so that its true nature may begin to emerge.

  2. A mindful commentator here at this site is one who reads that there is another link to leave such comments, and does so accordingly – instead of jumping at a Trungpa passage, and responding with a competition response – as if he could go anyway. A mindful society loves such a ninkumpoop as this, recognizing all of it with a smile.
