First a Mishap, Then Clear Vision

Book coverOne of my ancestors, Trung Ma-se, had an approach to working with people that was based on seeing situations clearly and playing with situations. His approach was not so much to have a clear vision to begin with. His approach was first to take advantage of whatever arose in situations, and then clear vision could develop out of that. Another way of saying this is that first there has to be a mishap. That is the situation. On top of the mishap, there is clear vision. You begin to evolve and involve yourself beyond the mishap. You begin to expand beyond that particular situation.
