The dharma, the teaching of the Buddha, is straightforward teaching. It contains certain common basic truths; otherwise, you could not communicate it and you could not appreciate it. No matter how many restaurants you might eat in or how fancy they may be, you still eat by putting food in your mouth; there’s no other way to eat. No restaurant offers food to consume in any other way.
